Vasilis Polymeros
Two-time Olympic Medalist & President of the Hellenic Rowing Federation
Vasilis Polymeros is one of the most prominent Greek athletes of all time and a leading figure in Greek rowing. As a champion in the lightweight double sculls, he made history by winning two Olympic medals: Bronze at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and Silver at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, having previously secured 8th place at the Sydney 2000 Games.
Having competed for OEA-NAV Volos and Olympiacos S.F.P., he has a profound understanding of the demands of elite competition. Proving that a winning mindset perfectly translates into management and executive leadership, he has been at the helm of the sport since 2020, serving as the President of the Hellenic Rowing Federation.
